The Strain

After a nuclear war leaves the world in darkness, Eph, haunted by his son's actions, departs from New York City for Philadelphia. There, he encounters new allies who help restore his determination to fight. Meanwhile, Setrakian tasks Fet and Quinlan with finding a new method to defeat the Master.

Dutch, who is imprisoned in a strigoi breeding program, is determined to escape and find a way to reach Setrakian. At the same time, Gus recruits his cousin for a heist aimed at boosting his gang's standing in the underground economy, although his partner, Creem, becomes increasingly suspicious of his true intentions.

Quinlan and Fet encounter complications while attempting to steal a nuclear warhead, as they face an unforeseen adversary. At the same time, Eph and Alex work on developing a new weapon to combat the strigoi. Meanwhile, Zack, growing restless during his isolation, begins a romantic relationship.
