Ball of Fire
A linguistics scholar leaves his scholarly seclusion to update his slang entry, only to find himself swept up in a whirlwind romance with a sharp-tongued nightclub singer who speaks the language of the streets.

Synopsis
A group of academics has spent years sequestered in a house working on the definitive encyclopedia. When one of them realizes that his entry on slang is hopelessly outdated, he decides to venture into the outside world to study the evolving language. There, he meets Sugarpuss O’Shea, a nightclub singer who is well-versed in all the latest slang—and, conveniently, is in need of a place to stay.
