Synopsis

Mr. Bean, a bumbling Englishman with a childlike demeanor, works as a watchman at the Royal National Gallery. When the museum's board of directors tries to have him dismissed, their efforts are thwarted by the chairman, who has developed a fondness for Bean. As a result, the board sends him to Los Angeles to serve as their ambassador for the unveiling of a historic painting, hoping to humiliate him. Unaware of their intentions, Mr. Bean must successfully carry out the unveiling, or both he and a hapless Los Angeles curator will face termination.
