Biography

Rowan Sebastian Atkinson is an English actor, comedian, and writer known for his work in television and film. He first gained prominence as a cast member of the sketch comedy show *Not the Nine O'Clock News* from 1979 to 1982. Atkinson later starred in the sitcom *Blackadder*, which aired from 1983 to 1989, and in the comedy series *Mr. Bean*, which ran from 1990 to 1995. He has also appeared in the *Johnny English* film series, beginning in 2003.
