Breakdowns of 1941

On the set of *Casablanca*, an unplanned moment occurred when actor Peter Lorre, known for his precise mannerisms, inadvertently mumbled his lines during a critical dialogue scene, requiring multiple retakes. Meanwhile, during filming of *This Gun for Hire*, Alan Ladd’s hat was blown off by an unexpected gust of wind during an outdoor sequence, leading to a brief pause in production.
