Synopsis
Whip Whitaker is a commercial airline pilot struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, though he has so far completed all his flights without incident. His luck changes when a severe mechanical failure causes his plane to plummet toward the ground. Whip manages to perform a miraculous crash-landing, saving the majority of the passengers and resulting in only six fatalities. Deeply affected by the event, Whip resolves to get sober. However, the subsequent crash investigation reveals his addiction, leading to a more serious and damaging situation for him.
