Biography
Arthur Robert Schmidt (June 17, 1937 – August 5, 2023) was an American film editor who worked on approximately 27 films between 1977 and 2005. He maintained a long-term working relationship with director Robert Zemeckis, beginning with the *Back to the Future* film trilogy (1985–1990) and continuing through *Cast Away* (2000).
