Synopsis

In 1949 Los Angeles, Brooklyn-born mobster Mickey Cohen rules with ruthless authority, profiting from drugs, guns, prostitution, and—should he succeed—every wire bet placed west of Chicago. His power is maintained not only through his own hired enforcers but also through the complicity of corrupt police and politicians under his influence. This dominance is enough to intimidate even the most hardened local law enforcement—except for a small, covert group of LAPD outsiders led by Sergeant John O’Mara and Jerry Wooters, who unite in an effort to dismantle Cohen’s criminal empire.
