Jonny Coyne

Jonathan Coyne began his acting career in school plays, taking leading roles in two notable productions: "The Judge" in Oscar Wilde's *The Importance of Being Earnest* and "Phaeton" in *The Chariot of the Sun* by Ovid. His performances earned praise in the national press, prompting him to pursue acting professionally. He was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and, upon graduating, received the Hannam Clarke Award.

Coyne's first television role was in an episode of *London's Burning* in 1990. His next significant role was in the miniseries *Gulliver's Travels*, which starred Ted Danson. Over the following years, he appeared in various British TV series, including guest roles on *EastEnders*, *Pulling*, and *The Bill*. In 2003, he appeared in *Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life*, and in 2010, he took part in *The Nutcracker in 3D*.

Coyne's most prominent role was as Warden Edwin James in *Alcatraz*. He later appeared in *Would You Rather* and the British film *London Boulevard*. In 2013, he was cast in two major films in supporting roles: as a henchman in *Gangster Squad* and as the right-hand man to John Goodman's character in *The Hangover Part III*.
