Hero

Divorced thief Bernie Laplante races against a police sting and a rival rescuer to claim the hero’s reward from a crashed jet before losing everything—including his chance at custody of his son.

Synopsis

Bernie Laplante is facing a difficult period in his life. He is divorced, his ex-wife harbors animosity toward him, and she has custody of their son. The police are also setting up a trap for him. Matters worsen when he loses a shoe while rescuing passengers from a crashed jet. As a thief currently out of luck, Bernie sees an opportunity in the crash and takes advantage of the situation. However, someone else ends up claiming credit for the rescue.
