Synopsis
The 1996 remake of Island of Dr. Moreau—originally a novel by H. G. Wells—experienced a series of controversies during its production. Director Richard Stanley spent four years developing the project before his involvement ended abruptly, while lead actor Marlon Brando exercised influence behind the scenes. In this account, the principal participants describe the events that occurred and explain why the production encountered significant difficulties.
