Synopsis
Mahoney's Last Stand is a 1972 Canadian film starring Alexis Kanner, Sam Waterston, and Maud Adams. It follows the story of Mahoney, a city-dweller who leaves urban life behind to become a homesteader, leading to a series of dramatic events. The film is notable for its soundtrack album, also titled Mahoney's Last Stand, created by Faces bandmates Ronnie Wood and Ronnie Lane. The album features guest guitar work by Pete Townshend, who also contributed "special electronic effects" to the film. Both the film and the album were largely overlooked at the time of their release and remain obscure in popular culture.
