Synopsis

Recently widowed and financially secure, Laura Henderson buys the Windmill Theatre in London as a new pursuit following her husband's death. She initiates an innovative continuous variety review, a concept that is later imitated by other theaters. As financial difficulties arise, Henderson proposes introducing risqué burlesque acts inspired by the Moulin Rouge in Paris.
