Biography

Anne Lambton began her career in the arts at age 17 when Andy Warhol's manager encountered her at a charity event and offered her a job at The Factory, Warhol's renowned New York City studio, which was initially home to his circle of eccentric New York City figures (known as "Warhol Superstars") and later became a hub for avant-garde art, fashion, and culture. Initially hesitant, Lambton eventually accepted the position and became Warhol's bodyguard. Their relationship was complex and enduring until Warhol's death in 1986. She transitioned to film with subtle yet intense roles, including a dominatrix in the punk rock romantic tragedy *Sid and Nancy* (1986) and a sinister, snake-charming witch in the dark fantasy film *The Witches* (1990).
