Synopsis

Sidney Stratton, an unassuming and meek inventor, develops a miraculous fabric that remains perpetually clean and unworn. Recognizing its commercial potential, he aims to profit by manufacturing and selling clothing made from the material. However, the invention poses a significant threat to the traditional clothing industry, as consumers who purchase a suit made from the fabric would never need to replace or repair it, potentially causing its collapse. Despite the looming crisis, Stratton is resolved to bring his invention to market, prompting powerful figures in the clothing industry to take increasingly desperate actions in response.
