The Trap
Synopsis
Mladen and Marija are a content, middle-class married couple who live as tenants in their society. Mladen is employed as a civil engineer at a state-owned company, while Marija works as an English teacher at a primary school. The couple shares a deep bond with their only son, Nemanja. Their lives are upended when they learn that Nemanja has a rare heart condition, treatable only through a specialized operation at a foreign medical center, with a cost of €26,000.
