Synopsis
Steve Everett is a reporter with a number of personal shortcomings, including being a boozer, a skirt chaser, and a careless father. However, there's little time to dwell on these issues. A prisoner on Death Row at San Quentin is scheduled to be executed at midnight—someone Everett has just come to realize is innocent.
