Biography

Dennis Dugan (born September 5, 1946) is an American director, comedian, and actor. He began his acting career with a role in the 1973 made-for-television movie *The Girl Most Likely to...*. He is known for his frequent collaborations with comedian Adam Sandler, directing films such as *Happy Gilmore* and *Grown Ups*.

Dugan has also worked extensively as a television and film director, often appearing in cameo roles in his own projects. He has directed episodes of television series including *Moonlighting* (in which he also guest starred), *Ally McBeal*, and *NYPD Blue*.

He married actress Joyce Van Patten in 1973, and the couple divorced in 1987. He is currently married to Sharon O'Connor, and has a son named Kelly Dugan.
