Biography

Giuseppe Tornatore is an Italian film director and screenwriter known for revitalizing critical interest in Italian cinema. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, he has directed and written several acclaimed drama films, including *Cinema Paradiso*, *The Legend of 1900*, *Malèna*, *Baarìa*, and *The Best Offer*. His most celebrated work, *Cinema Paradiso*, earned him the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In addition to his film work, Tornatore has directed advertising campaigns for the fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana.
