Biography

Jodie Foster is an actress known for her role in *The Silence of the Lambs*. She began her career at the age of two, appearing in commercials for four years before making her acting debut in the television series *Mayberry R.F.D.* (1968). In 1975, Foster was cast as Iris Steensma, a prostitute, in the film *Taxi Driver* (1976). For this role, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
