“Hideo Kojima's horror game OD, developed by Kojima Productions and exclusive to Xbox, is reportedly safe from recent layoffs and studio closures at Microsoft. A source familiar with Xbox's plans told IGN that the game remains in development and will be published by Xbox. OD was announced in June 2022 and features actors Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and the late Udo Kier. It is being developed in collaboration with director Jordan Peele. Despite ongoing restructuring at Xbox under new CEO Asha Sharma, OD continues to move forward. Meanwhile, other Xbox projects, including Marvel's Blade and Project Fantasy, are reportedly at risk of cancellation or studio reorganization.”
