Mel Gibson is an American actor and filmmaker known for his work in both action and historical films. He gained international recognition for his role as Max Rockatansky in the first three *Mad Max* films (1979–1985), a post-apocalyptic action series. Gibson also starred as Martin Riggs in the *Lethal Weapon* buddy cop series (1987–1998), which became one of his most iconic roles. In addition to acting, he has directed several films, often focusing on historical and epic themes. His career has earned him multiple accolades, establishing him as a prominent figure in Hollywood.
