Set in a future where technological enhancements and robotics are commonplace, Major Motoko Kusanagi and her unit, Section 9, handle cases that are too complex for the standard police force. Section 9 is composed of hackers, sharpshooters, detectives, and cyborgs, working together to combat cyber criminals and prevent attacks against civilians.
