Synopsis

In London’s contemporary art scene, Art Spindle operates a high‑end gallery and intends to sell a Mondrian painting for millions. His assistant Beth is romantically involved with his most acquisitive client, Bob Macclestone, and she wants Bob to help her establish her own gallery; consequently, she assists him in acquiring the Mondrian without Art’s knowledge. Bob’s wife, Jean, becomes interested in a young conceptual artist named Jo, who is attracted to Art’s newest assistant, Paige. Meanwhile, videographer Elaine pursues various friends and lovers in an effort to advance her career; she considers sacrificing her agent Dewey in order to secure a show from Beth. The situation surrounding the Mondrian illustrates a lack of loyalty among those involved.

How many hands made this film

The scale of the collaboration

Principal cast & crew: 20

These are the principals we have on file — the full crew ran to the hundreds. Every film this size was made by far more hands than any credits list ever names.

Why a floor?

This is a minimum, not a total. We only count the credits we’ve captured so far, and coverage is uneven — a blockbuster might show a few hundred names while another of the same size shows a couple dozen. The real crews all ran into the thousands. The number here only grows as full credits are enriched — so we frame it as a floor, never a headcount.
