Synopsis

The film follows a Quaker family in Indiana in 1862, whose religious beliefs strongly oppose violence and war. Struggling to uphold their pacifist principles in daily life, they face a difficult challenge when Southern troops pass through their area. The family must grapple with the moral dilemma of whether to resist, despite their commitment to peace.
