Biography

Robert Francis "Bobcat" Goldthwait is an American screen and voice actor, comedian, screenwriter, and film and television director. He gained recognition as a solo stand-up comedian, releasing a record titled "Meat Bob" and appearing in two televised concert specials during the 1980s. In the fall of 1993, he performed stand-up as an opening act for Nirvana on what would be the band's final North American tour. Goldthwait is known for his energetic and intense stage presence, his dark and acerbic brand of black comedy, and his distinctive gruff yet high-pitched voice.
