Biography

Jimmy L. Smits is an American actor known for his role as attorney Victor Sifuentes on the legal drama *L.A. Law*, which aired from the 1980s to the 1990s. He also played NYPD Detective Bobby Simone on the police drama *NYPD Blue* during the 1990s and 2000s, and Matt Santos on the political drama *The West Wing*. Smits appeared in the films *Switch* (1991) and *My Family* (1995), and portrayed ADA Miguel Prado in *Dexter*. He also played Bail Organa in *Star Wars*. From 2012 to 2014, Smits was a main cast member of *Sons of Anarchy*, playing Nero Padilla. He also portrayed Elijah Strait in the NBC drama series *Bluff City Law*.
