Moritaka Mashiro, a high school student, is encouraged by his classmate Akito Takagi to pursue a career as a manga artist after Takagi recognizes his artistic talent. Moritaka, however, is hesitant due to the influence of his uncle, a former manga artist who died from overwork. With Akito's support, Moritaka convinces his school crush, Azuki Miho—an aspiring voice actress—to participate in the anime adaptation of their future manga once it is completed. Azuki agrees to marry Moritaka, but only on the condition that they both achieve their respective dreams first. Determined to fulfill this promise, Moritaka embarks on a challenging journey to become a successful manga artist.
