Biography

Joe Don Baker was an American actor known for portraying "tough guy" characters in both law enforcement and criminal roles. He gained recognition as an action star through supporting roles in the Western films *Guns of the Magnificent Seven* (1969) and *Wild Rovers* (1971). His breakthrough came with the 1973 film *Walking Tall*, in which he played real-life Tennessee Sheriff Buford Pusser.
