Biography

Fred Savage was born on July 9, 1976. He began acting at age 9 in the Lorimar production *Morningstar/Eveningstar* (1986), in which he was cast by Roger Damon Price as Alan Bishop. During production, Fred also auditioned for *The Boy Who Could Fly* (1986), a film that later helped launch Jay Underwood's career. At age twelve, he was cast in the lead role of the series *The Wonder Years* (1988). He later appeared in the film *Vice Versa* (1988) with Judge Reinhold, followed by *Little Monsters* (1989), in which he worked with his younger brother, Ben Savage. He then appeared in *The Wizard* (1989), alongside Luke Edwards, Christian Slater, Jenny Lewis, and Beau Bridges. When *The Wonder Years* was canceled, Ben Savage went on to star in the lead role of *Boy Meets World* (1993). Fred took a break from acting for a few years before being cast in the series *Working* (1997).
